To reach this cave, visitors have to climb up 90 rocky steps. The cave has 3 chambers. In the third chamber, there is a large freshwater lake. Kim Quy Cave is located on Dam Nam Island. This cave is associated with the legend of Kim Quy (Golden Turtle). Legend has it that years ago, after helping Le Loi against invaders, the Golden Turtle traveled to Ha Long Bay and fought with many other evil spirits. This made the Turtle exhausted, thus, it chose Kim Quy Cave to take a rest, and eventually, turned into stone. This probably explains why there is a stone that resembles a turtle in the cave.

2.1 DeLaSea Hạ Long
From Hanoi and some Northern provinces, you can go to Bac Ninh by motorbike via Highway 18. Then, make your way to Pha Lai Ward in Chi Linh District, Hai Duong Province. After going to Dong Trieu Town – the western gateway of Quang Ninh Province and continuing past Uong Bi City, you will arrive in Ha Long City.
With this route, it will take you about 4 – 5 hours to travel. For those who like going backpacking, this will be a great experience. However, you should beware of danger by maintaining an appropriate speed, wearing a helmet with glasses and wearing long-sleeved clothing during the journey.

2.2 FLC Hạ Long, Sầm Sơn, Quy Nhơn

From the center of Hanoi, you need to follow the directions on Hanoi – Ha Long Highway to reach Ha Long City quickly and safely. In comparison to traveling by motorbike, it offers shorter travel time which is only about 2 – 2.5 hours.
